Coffee theory

Ah, that's coffee

Hypothesis: You can tell the quality of coffee by how it tastes once it's cooled. (Or: Good coffee still tastes good once it's cooled.)

Data: Starbucks and Dunkin coffee's don't taste good once they reach room temperature. However, the coffee served at Octane and Java Monkey still taste pretty good, even when the temperature drops.

It could be a function of the serving vessel. When I get coffee at Octane and Java Monkey it's usually in a ceramic mug, whereas Starbucks is served in a paper cup. (I'm not convinced this is the case because plenty of good coffee is also served in paper cups.)

Any coffee afficionado's want to weigh in?
