Cipher Kenni CD

On my way to lunch yesterday in Little Five Points, I was stopped by a guy selling his CD. Cipher Kenni was carrying a CD player and headphones to let prospective buyers sample his wares and had a rhyming sales pitch, which I can't remember now but remember being impressed by. After trying on the headphones, it wasn't long before I was bobbing my head to his rapid flow and production. Mostly, though, I appreciated the effort it takes to stand around on a hot, humid summer day trying to move a product he's obviously proud of. I happily bought a copy.

Kenni doesn't have any tracks availble on his MySpace profile, but here's a short (~45 sec) sample.

my friend bought his cd with a bag of dimes(the currency not ganja). He remembers me by "shorty" because im short. And every time i go to little 5 points i stop by and we have a chat. He is a nice guy and I'm a sure he will succeed with his amazing personality and will to stand outside all the time asking strangers to try on the headphones

"Hello do you listen to hip hop"
The common question asked by this Warrior of Word Work. If you heard this question in little 5 points within the last 4 or so years then you most likely met Kenni.

I'm not only a fan, I'm family in this rap shit. And lucky to have such a talented addition to the team.

I am a friend and fan of my main man Cypher Kenni, I hope that he catches a break one day. If not, if he is eating off of this good, and is still out there doing his thing, I can't do anything but show him love and support whenever I make the pilgrimage back to my old home.
