so is this an email thing, or should we post our lists of four here?

It's actually a "blog 'em if you got 'em" thing. I accidentally left out the introduction which would explain it a bit better. I'll insert that later tonight.

I'm also going to say that "The Special" might interfere with '06 resolution #5

I still can't believe you did the McD's thing. And didn't I tell you my German chocolate cake story? It may change your favorite food entry.

Duuuuude, thanks for playing!!!! :-)

If you do Netflix, you might check out this movie "Primer." I watched it last night and kept thinking about it all day.

It's a very under-stated indie about two guys with Curt-like abilities inventing something.

You might also try watching deez nuts.

Posted by Kyle on February 15, 2006

"Primer" is amazing! Rob recommended that to me a while back. I had to watch the director's commentary after watching it. I should watch it again, though.

Posted by curt on February 16, 2006

I agree. "Primer" was amazing, especially considering the budget of less than $10K. After the movie Elizabeth and I had to draw out a diagram to figure out what happened.

Oh yeah, Kyle, remember that thing we spoke about before? Did you feel it yet?

Posted by rob on February 16, 2006

Hmmm.... Rob, I don't follow. Is it nuts related?
You guys all think you're better than me because you saw Primer first. I feel shame.

Posted by Kyle on February 16, 2006

Yes, yes...you caught me. I was hoping to start a chain of deez nuts comments on Curt's blog. I thought he would appreciate some gutter humor.
So, shame on you for saying nuts on "Curt's" blog and shame on you for seeing "Primer" so after the fact.

hey, what's deez nuts? i've never heard of that particular brand. is it better than mr. peanut's trail mix with m&ms? cause that's a pretty darn feisty mix.

Posted by tom on February 17, 2006

Deez nuts are more festive than fiesty.

For about a week, I was convinced I would get rich if I started a, like, peanut company, called Grandma Dee's Nuts.

I just went back in time and watched Primer before you, Rob. Hah!

Posted by Kyle on February 17, 2006

You think you did...but I was already there with my time machine INSIDE a time machine. Didn't you see my earpiece Sucka!

Deez nuts are not as good as Dixon Nuts. Kyle can't resist the salty taste of Dixon Nuts in his mouth.

You should also rent "Equilibrium" which is a Matrix-ish action movie set in a 1984-slash-Fahrenheit451 type of utopia. I don't know why this movie never got decent PR...

Deez Nuts: "Put 'em in your mouth!"

Posted by Gene on February 17, 2006

Equilibrium is really awesome -- much better than the Matrix. Watch for William Fichtner's character in it, he's my favorite....although Christian Bale is good eye candy! ;-)

And if you haven't seen it, get Life of Pi: Belief in Chaos. It's excellent.

Posted by Sara on February 17, 2006

Is Life of Pi a movie? I've only seen it in book form.

Posted by rob on February 17, 2006

"Life of Pi" (the book) and "Pi" (the movie) are two (very) different stories. The movie is about a mathmetician with OCD and a streak of paranoia. I watched it a few years ago (summer of 2001, maybe) -- I don't remember a ton about it other than I think it's in black-and-white, and I liked it.

Posted by curt on February 17, 2006

didn't I watch Pi with you? I also watched it around that time. I am very intrigued by the cover of Life of Pi and keep meaning to pick it up.

Posted by rob on February 17, 2006

Christian Bale was good in The Machinist. And by good, I mean skinny.

At work today, we had macadamia nuts.

Posted by Kyle on February 17, 2006

I heard he ate nothing but apples and water for months to lose all that weight.
Hey Kurt, Kyle needs a link to his meme and his favorite nuts.

Posted by rob on February 21, 2006

My mistake -- I mean "Pi" about the mathematician. You should watch it again -- definitely one of those flicks that needs to be watched twice.

Will have to look at the book "Pi."

Posted by Sara on February 21, 2006

hmmm...just watched "primer." had to see what y'all were gabbing about. i got lost, but loved it nonetheless.

Posted by tom on February 22, 2006

I just watched Equillibrium I thought it was good but not as good as the Matrix. I loved the action and the idea and Christian Bale beats Keanu Reeves hands down, all day, every day, but I felt that the Matrix held together better as a whole and the supporting acting in the Matrix was way better than in Equillibrium.

Posted by rob on February 23, 2006

The sequels ruined the Matrix for me. It's like Rocky. If you watch Rocky V, it spoils the whole series for you.
